Meditation Series at MAHADo more than meditate: Explore and discuss the practice with Kimble Humiston, Director of the Center for World Cultural Studies. Starting March 16th, Tuesday nights at 5:30 at MAHA. Kimble Humiston will lead us in RajaYoga Meditation techniques and together, we’ll study the sacred Indian text the Bhagavad Gita. Gita readings will be woven into our meditations to discover the nature of higher states of consciousness. We’ll meet at MAHA, Tuesdays, 5:30 to 7 for six sessions. Suggested donation: $15 per session. This series is part of a seminar entitled The Physiology of Enlightenment, which studies the ways Eastern philosophies have come to open the human nervous system in support of higher states of consciousness. The seminar is a training program that draws on the Ayurvedic tradition. Each session allows for the direct experience of transcendence and a discussion of effects at the end of each session. The goal is for each participant to develop a strong, on-going personal practice to support growth toward enlightenment. |
