What is an ayurvedic consultation?
First we diagnose your body type (dosha) and assess the qualities of your imbalance. We do this by asking questions about your diet, health, and daily routines, paying special attention to your eyes, skin, tongue, body shape, and pulse.
Next, an individualized program will be created to help you focus on your immediate needs, as well as laying out a thorough, long-term plan. We make dietary and exercise recommendations and suggest realistic and workable adjustments to your daily self-care routine. Herbs, meditations, breathing exercises, and yoga postures may be recommended.
Healing begins with understanding what is going on in your own life. By identifying imbalances and unhealthy patterns, we can take the first steps to move towards health and balance. By working together, we can help you develop your own self-awareness so that your healing process becomes your own.
This is not a back-seat ride: you are in charge of your own well-being. But you are not alone. Your ayurvedic consultant will be there every step of the way to guide you and support you as you take control of your health and your life.
